Frequently Asked Questions
?Where do I start?
A: The most common place that new students attend is the weekend youth services. However, we recommend starting to come to weekend youth services and small groups right away! Most students will not really make any friends until they join a small group!

?What do I do if I am coming to the Youth Service but I am not making any friends?
A: Come to small group! Small group is where you really get to spend time talking and interacting with other youth your own age! It is designed to help you build relationships with other students.

?What are the Middle School service times and where do they meet?
A: Saturday Night @ 5:30pm, Sunday Morning @ 9am, Sunday Morning @ 11am.  All Middle School Services meet in the "Lounge" upstairs in the far right corner.

?When and where do small groups meet?
A: Small groups meet on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30pm.  They meet next door to Hope at Grace Christian School.

?What do I wear to church?
A: Whatever you normally wear when you are hanging out with your friends.  You don't have to wear a button up shirt with a tie or an ankle length dress...just come as you are.

?What if there is an event or camp that I want to go to but my family just can’t afford it?
A: Talk with Chris the Middle School Pastor. We don’t ever want money to stop a student from going on an event or camp. While we may not always be able to pay for the entire event, we can usually help in some way.

?Are the adults working in Middle School ministry safe for my students to be around?
A: We run a criminal background check on all adult volunteers, have them fill out a detailed application, and personally talk with the youth pastor before an adult is ever brought on the team.

?Where do I take my student for an event?
A: Unless otherwise stated all events leave from the church. Students are dropped off at the front door where their should be adults there to greet them.

?What does the church believe about __________?
A: You can look at our church’s statement of belief at http://www.gethope.net/welcome/about.html

?What version of the Bible do you recommend?
A: While there are many good translations out there, we recommend the NIV (New International Version). It is both easy to read and accurate. It is also the best selling translation on the market. For some 6th graders or students who have trouble reading we recommend the NIrV (New International Readers Version). It is geared at very young readers.
